The RX 7600 XT’s Are Here!

Taking On The RTX 3070 At $330

AMD’s latest RX 7600 XT is certainly more affordable that the NVIDIA card which dropped yesterday, but it also won’t come close to the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.  Instead it seems more aimed at the ~$300 RTX 3060 which is exactly what Josh saw in his review of the XFX Speedster QICK 309 RX 7600 XT.  It can’t touch NVIDIA when ray tracing is involved but other than that it can meet or beat the RX 3060.  If you haven’t checked out his review you really should as he will provide you with a lot of details on the specifications of this Navi 33 based chip.

TechPowerUp took a look at a different version, the Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 XT Pulse.   The clocks are similar 2810 MHz Boost and 2250 MHz memory and so the performance matches the results of the XFX card.  They did try a bit of overclocking, seeing an average frequency of 3045 MHz when in game.  That was not enough for a noticeable difference in performance, but if you like to overclock you will be able to juice this card up a bit.

Their high resolution testing shows that the extra memory does help, unfortunately the GPU itself struggles to keep up.  This does mean that enabling FSR 3.0 and upscaling will give a better experience than with the smaller memory pool of the RX 7600.  Check out this card and the ones below to get the full picture.
