Great for 2011 iMac 27″ Quad,
Purchased this to upgrade the memory in my 2011 27″ iMac and it is working flawlessly. Don’t spend the inflated Apple price for memory, just order the minimum and get some great sticks here on Amazon. Installing is a cinch, just unscrew three screws in a designated cover under the stand and the memory is right there ready to be swapped out. Actually, the memory is probably the only user-serviceable part on the iMac. This is my second set of Kingston memory sticks and I love the new dual pack, you need to buy them in pairs anyway so they might as well bundle them together.

|Perfect upgrade for late 2011 Macbook Pro,
I purchased these to upgrade our late 2011 15″ Macbook Pro from 4 GB to 8GB, and they are a perfect match. Installation took about 5 minutes and the Macbook recognized the increased memory instantly. Kingston is a reliable DIMM manufacturer and offers a much more cost effective upgrade option than buying direct from Apple. We’re running Snow Leopard, so there isn’t a huge difference in performance, but I imagine it will make a big difference when we migrate to Lion.

Being a graphic designer, I need a lot of ram. I had like 4 gig before on my iMac and it still ran fine but now my rendering speed has doubled. It’s super fast!
