Made in China, but does not appear to be sloppy. The listing states “laser mouse” but the manufacturer’s web-site states “optical mouse”, so keep it mind while comparing with other options.
Uses 2 AAA batteries. Not a scientific test, but feels like rechargeable AAA require replacement every 2-3 weeks, which I don’t mind, unless it will lead to breaking the lid on the battery compartment. The multi-speed/multi-resolution feature seems to be helpful when multiple users use the same computer.
The track-wheel seems to be working fine and is very useful in SketchUp on Mac Mini Apple Mac Mini MC815LL/A Desktop (NEWEST VERSION). Speaking about Mac Mini… Hooking up to Mac Mini (with MacOS 10.7.2) was simple and did not require any driver installation, etc. Tested on the distance of 10-15 feet, and works fine.
Small note. The size of this mouse is more of a laptop type, or designed for children and teenagers. The white and aluminum/gray elements support Apple Mac Mini style very well.

|Good little mouse, hungry for batteries,
I really like using this mouse, the connection is fast and dedicated. Works well with my MacBookPro. I also like the many programmable buttons and the flexibility that offers.
I just wish the battery replacement were not so often or that it had an automatic ‘off’ switch when I disconnect it from the MBP.
Overall, though, very satisfied and would recommend.

Works wonderfully with my MacBook Pro. Even provides right click functionality to my Mac system, which was more than expected. Cosmetically attractive, solid mouse.
