If you are looking for a new space exploration and building which includes FPS firefights on the ground, which you can play alone or in multiplayer you should check out Qanga. It’s in early release on Steam for just over $20, with a demo you can grab to try it out before hand if want to make sure you want to add it to your library of untouched games. It offers everything you’d expect from a triple A title, except the price and you can indeed take off and fly into orbit without the game having to load. You also won’t have to spend real money to get a decent ship, just put some time in.
The developers, IolaCorp Studio, consist of five game designers which makes this a fairly impressive endeavour. They did need to do something to keep the price down and the timeline short, which some may disapprove of; AI generated dialogue. They are upfront about using AI instead of actors, but you should be aware of their choice before spending your hard earned cash.
