A Lot Of Capabilities, Apart From Gaming
The ECS LIVA Z5 Plus measures a mere 148 x 120 x 38 mm (5.8 x 4.7 x 1.5″) and contains a Core i5-1335U, 16GB of non-soldered DDR4-3200 and a PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe SSD. The use of standard memory and storage means you can upgrade this little PC if you want to, and as TechPowerUp didn’t see any thermal throttling during their testing that is a feasible proposition. You are stuck with the Xe graphics on the i5-1335U, so it will never game well but perhaps there will be an AMD based version in the future.
The connectivity is equally effective, with two 2.5 GbE ports in addition to Wi-Fi 6E AX211 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.3. The ECS LIVA Z5 Plus can also theoretically drive four displays, with it’s two HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 and USB-C to DP. To round everything out, there is an audio jack and three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, making this LIVA more portable and more flexible than most laptops nowadays.
