Bethesda Updating Fallout 4, And Lands A Crit On Fallout London

Another Mod Suffers The Wrath Of Todd

There is a good chance you installed a Fallout game shortly after the final credits rolled on the final episode of the TV series, which you totally didn’t binge over the course of a few days.  After all, the series did a good job reminding us how much we love wandering the wasteland.  The series also inspired Bethesda to work on a huge update to Fallout 4, which is being released on April 25th; with a good chance of a 10GB+ patch dropping on the 26th to fix numerous game breaking bugs.  If you can get it to load, it will bring native support for ultrawide monitors, various assets poached directly from the Creation Club and a quest involving those wankers known as The Enclave.

This is good news for fans of the series, but it is awful news for those who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Fallout London on April 23rd.  The total conversion mod for Fallout 4 was designed based on the current version and the changes behind the scenes mean it is not going to work.  The option to roll back on Steam is unlikely to resolve this completely and so the team have decided to push back the launch date until they can ensure that the mod runs smoothly.  Bethesda has not offered them a sneak peek of the new version to let them commence work on compatibility, so they have no idea how long it will take to fix.   We can hope for a few days, but it is far more likely we are looking at several weeks at least.

In the mean time, in a week we can all beta test the official update for Bethesda.
