OK I got this card to replace my EVGA GTS 250. That card had two problems, but this review isn’t about that card.

The main thing that makes me excited about this card is playing Skryim. I just installed the card this morning and so far I’m impressed. Obviously it handles vanilla Skyrim with all settings on Ultra like a dream. But I just installed Boris Vorontsov’s ENB and the game still runs very well. I’m quite pleased with that. I had around 40 fps after the ENB, and I was using a VDGG preset from the Nexus. FPS never dipped below 30. Note that my computer is an Intel i7 quad core with 24GB of RAM installed, running Win 7 64bit.

So far the only other game I’ve tried was Arma II, and it was great with that as well, all settings as high as possible.

The card is very quiet. Haven’t heard so much as a whisper of fan noise from it. That’s one of the reasons I wanted a new card in the first place, so this is great.

The price is great too, a lot of high-end graphics cards will cost you a lot more, and I don’t know where this technically falls on the spectrum of cards, but for my purposes it’s amazing.

No problems with the install, works great so far, fewer updates than AMD.

Runs (on my machine) Skyrim on max settings with high resolution textures. Haven’t had an issue with any other games yet.

The graphics card, for the money, packs a lot of punch. It’s factory overclocked and comes with EVGA overclocking software. I’m getting good frame rates at high settings.
