Sad There’s No Low Profile Magnetic Keyboards? The NuPhy Air60 HE Arrives

Look Ma, No Wobble!

There are now a number of keyboards on the market which use magnetic, or Hall effect, switches instead of more traditional mechanical switches.  These switches allow you to use software to quickly customize the actuation distance of your keys but they also tend to be less stable than their mechanical counterparts.  The NuPhy Air60 HE looks to resolve that issue by using low profile keys instead of full height keys.

The Air60 HE is a 60% keyboard, which seriously reduces the number of keys on the board.  As well this board supports SOCD (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions), allowing you to counter strafe like a pro. SCOD gives the most recent key pressed priority, so you can strafe left and then tap right without letting of your strafe left key to come to an instant stop to increase your accuracy, then let go of the right strafe and continue strafing left.  This is often detected as cheating in online FPS games, so buyer beware.
