17 Games In A Bargain Battle
It’s a good thing that iGPU performance has seen such a boost over the last couple of generations, considering the simultaneous increase of prices for discrete GPUs. The days of the $500 computer would be completely gone if it wasn’t for the work Intel and AMD have done to make it feasible to play games on one of their integrated GPUs. The performance won’t match an RTX or Radeon, but if you’re on a limited budget it is a lifesaver! The FPS Review tested out the Ryzen 8700G and 8600G against the elderly Ryzen 5700G.
You won’t see all of Cyberpunk 2077’s glory, but hitting almost 60fps at 1080p with medium settings and FSR enabled is impressive. If you like racing, the 64fps average on F1 2022 set to ultra quality should bring a smile to your face. Sadly, Starfield and some other modern titles remain beyond reach but you do need to keep your expectations reasonable. If you are looking at a new budget system and are hoping to game on it, going with a Ryzen 8700G will give you a more flexible system than picking up a console and your performance will be close.
