No More Performance Than It Needs To Have To Fill A Spot In The Market

Welcome to RTX 4070 Ti SUPER day, where every major vendor has at least one card for reviewers to check out.   Sebastian’s review covered the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, a beefy 12 x 5.43 x 2.55″ card that is big enough to sport such a long name.  We have never seen a Ti SUPER card before, until now they were separate GPUs but not anymore.   His testing shows you get a decent return for the extra $200 when you game on a 3440×1440 ultrawide display.

The FPS Review also reviewed the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER but they tried out 4K performance as well as 1440p for those that don’t have an ultrawide.  They also managed to overclock the card, hitting a 3GHz Boost Clock, a nice jump from the 2805MHz Boost they observed straight out of the box.  The memory also had a fair amount of headroom, jumping from 21Gbps up to 24Gbps.  That was enough for a noticeable difference in performance and didn’t add that much heat or noise, making the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER even more attractive.  It’s not quite enough to get you 4K and Ray tracing without upscaling, but that is something the new generation of RTX cards does quite well.
